School History

The dream of our Mahamai Fund to start a school for the Educational need of Sivakasi came true in the year 1988. Initially, the School land was 1.44 acres and the building work was started by the Charitable donors, Sr. A.Shanmuga Nadar & Sons, Sri. A.Nataraj Nadar & Sons, Sri. APRSPA. Vairaprakasam and Sri. NPSSN. Sudarsan donated the land for path towards the school.

The mission by giving fundamental education and make the children as vibrant to uplift the nation was spread over to and the foundation work was started on 12.09.1988. We had started Kalvi Paribalana Sabai under the Presidenship of Sri. A.S.Rajappan and secretaryship of Sri. S.S.Sankaralingam, 'Karma Veerar' had put efforts to make the children educated. So, the school is named after him bearing the name "K.Kamarajar English Medium School" in the year 1990.

In 1990, S.S.Annamalai Nadar,President of Sivakasi Hindu Nadar's Uravinmurai Mahamai Fund took efforts to dedicate the School and it was inaugurated on 03.06.1990. The inauguration function was held under the Presidenship of Sri. K.A.P.A.Chandrasekaran, Sri. B.Vembar & Sri. T.Karthiresan served as the first Correspondent and Joint Secretary respectively. The regular classes commenced on 06.06.1990 with PreKG to UKG and 87 students were given admission. 3 teachers, 2 women Non Teaching staff and a watchman were duty appointed.

During 1991 - 1993, the construction of the first floor was started while Sri. N.S.M.Sankarapandian Nadar was the School Correspondent.

During 1993 - 1996, the open air auditorium was constructed by Sri. G.Athipathi was the School Correspondent.

During 1996 - 1999, Sri. S.Maheswaran took the presidentship of Mahamai Fund and Sri. S.Sri Ram Ashok became the School Correspondent. This team of office bearers had helped a lot in the construction of new buildings to our school at Anuppankulam.

During 1999 - 2002, Sri. A.M.S.G.Ashokan took charge as the President and Sri. R.Chandra Prakash was the School Correspondent. On 12.04.2002, the opening of a new building named "Mepco Science Block" was celebrated.

During 2002 - 2005, Sri. C.R.Velayutham took charge as the President and Sri. S.Vithyatharan was the School Correspondent.

During 2005 - 2008, Sri. A.Asaithambi took charge as the President and Sri. K.S.S.P.Dhanasekaran was the School Correspondent.

During 2008 - 2011, Sri. S.S.A.Kathiresan took charge as the President and Sri. T.Annamalayan was the School Correspondent.

During 2011 - 2014, Sri. L.Palanichamy took charge as the President and Sri. M.Ramamoorthy was the School Correspondent.

During 2014 - 2017, Sri. A.Tenzing took charge as the President and J.Ramesh Kumar was the School Correspondent.

Now, Sri. A.Kumaravel is our School President and Sri. N.V.Muralidharan is our School Correspondent.
